    Unit ships as an exchange unit with a 30 day warranty. Simply ship your core back in the box you received the rebuild in. Use the pre-paid shipping tag. Then you will receive a full 365 day warranty. We expect to receive the core back. If you don't intend to ship it back please contact us BEFORE bidding. The core must be an "EGD", "EBQ", "EMT", "EGQ", or "FBW"and be received within 30 days of purchase date to qualify for a warranty. The core must NOT be disassembled to qualify.

    If you fail to return the core in 30 days you AGREE to pay an addition $200 on the 30th day after purchase.
    Unit is ready to ship. We will ship within 1 business day of receiving payment IF payment is received as per payent instructions. If payment is not received as per payment instructions we will relist and give negative feedback.     This is a top of the line rebuild. The casing has been hot tanked. All internal parts have been cleaned an inspected. Any parts not in excellent serviceable shape have been replace. All tolerances have been set to factory specs. This unit has factory gearing for all 1.8t Mrk IV VWs. Please email with any questions.

    Differential & Pinion Shaft With New Bearings & Bolt Kit







    A Special Note:
    Most o2j Mrk IV rebuilds come to us because of a differential problem. These are the 4 main issues we see.

    Spider Gears/Side Gears Break
    There are 2 styles of gears, cast and standard sintered steel. We see the cast gears fail at least 5 to 1 compared to the sintered steel gears. So we only install standard sintered steel gears.

    Cross Shaft Breaks
    There are two diameter cross shafts available, 16 & 18 MM. The 18MM shaft stands up to much more punishmnet and is the only size we use in all our o2j rebuilds.

    Cross Shaft Roll Pin Breaks & Corss Shaft Punctures Case
    This is the most common failure for all o2j rebuilds that come into our shop. There is a single 5 mm roll pin retaining the cross shaft. We double roll pin the shaft with an SAE type pin inside the metric pin. Next we grind a small "V" groove between the cross shaft and differential. Then a small root weld is applied. We haven't had a roll pin failure since using these procedures.

    Rivet(s) Breaks and Punctures Case
    We remove all factory rivets and repalace them with a better than OEM bolt kit made by Peloquin. Can we build a differential you can't break? NO! But we can make the weakest part of your transmission better than new!!
