    Unit ships as an exchange unit with a 30 day warranty. Simply ship your core back in the box you received the rebuild in. Use the pre-paid shipping tag. Then you will receive a full 365 day warranty. We expect to receive the core back. If you don't intend to ship it back please contact us BEFORE bidding. The core must be a 87-92 16V Close Ratio or 93-98 CHE, DFQ or similar unit and be received within 30 days of purchase date to qualify for a warranty. If you're not sure what you have please call or email BEFORE bidding.

    Every Picture In This Auction Is of The Exact Unit To Be Shipped.
    This is a true 16V 2Y close ratio 5 speed transaxle. It is a direct fit for all 2Y 16V 2.0 5 Speeds. It will also fit in place of an AGB 1.8 16V 5 Speed. The only difference is the 2Y has a 2 wire reverse light switch.
    Performance A3 Transmission
    This unit will bolt directly into 93-98 VW Golf,Jetta & up to 2000 in a Cabrio. Your car will accelerate much quicker with this transmission. This is a standard performance upgrade for the A3. The down side is your engine rpm will run higher at the same given road speed. For example if your original A3 turns 2800rpm at highway speeds you will now have to turn 3185rpm to obtain the same speed. Please email with any questions before bidding.
